I am nothing more than skin and bones. I am merely a collection of cells. My thoughts are just a side effect of electronic impulses. My heart, a mere muscle. My soul, an illusion. Don’t be fooled into thinking that morality exists. We are just animals. Chance results of genetic mutation. Class, wealth, religion; these things are dreamed up by man to create a barrier between himself and the truth he fears. The truth that we are no greater than apes, than dogs, than ants. We live, not for a reason, but still we live. The future and the past cannot be owned, the food we eat is only borrowed. Why are we so afraid to admit that all we truly have is this moment, right now.
